Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxim Biruchinskiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slade comes into the arena with Shalom Alechem blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Maxim Biruchinskiy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biruchinskiy shoots in looking for a takedown but Slade manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Biruchinskiy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Biruchinskiy moves into range and clinches up with Slade.
Slade tries to circle away but Biruchinskiy has him pinned against the cage.

Slade tries to pull guard but Biruchinskiy holds him up against the cage and eventually Slade drops back down to his feet.

Biruchinskiy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Biruchinskiy throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Slade.
Biruchinskiy tries for a takedown but Slade sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jim Slade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxim Biruchinskiy.
Slade throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Biruchinskiy on the side of the head.

It looks like Maxim Biruchinskiy has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Biruchinskiy tries to land a leg kick but Slade saw it coming and moves away.

Slade catches Biruchinskiy napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Biruchinskiy to the canvas!

Biruchinskiy is rocked!
Slade postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Biruchinskiy covers up, he's hurt! Slade keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Slade and the ref steps in to end the fight! Slade can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
