Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rob Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roland Eld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roland Eld!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Eld lands a left and a right that send Evans crashing to the mat, dazed. Eld thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Rob Evans has been cut.
Eld misses with a double jab.

The fighters circle momentarily. Eld darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Eld fails with the takedown
and Evans counters with a good, hard body kick but Eld shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eld circles away from the clinch attempt.
Eld leaves Evans with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Evans tries to score a power double leg takedown but Eld sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Evans somewhat.

Eld rushes Evans and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Evans's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Eld wants to break the clinch but can't.
Evans stops a takedown attempt from Eld.
Evans can't get the takedown.
Eld has had enough of the clinch but Evans keeps him there for the moment.

Eld has Evans pressed against the cage, preventing Evans from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Evans tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Evans fails to pull guard.

Eld pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Evans tries to pass the half guard into mount. Eld knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Evans is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Eld defends it well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Evans is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Eld defends it well.

Evans not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Evans is trying to control the action in half guard but Eld is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Evans is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Eld looks like he's trying to stand up.
Eld is staying active underneath Evans, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Evans pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Evans tries to pull guard but Eld holds him up against the cage and eventually Evans drops back down to his feet.
Eld is trying to drag Evans to the mat but Evans just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Evans jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Eld walks away with a smile on his face. Evans gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Evans throws a sloppy head kick and Eld moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Eld gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Evans fails to pull guard.

Eld's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Eld counters by clinching up.

Evans manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Evans throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Eld tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Evans is in Eld's guard.

Eld is looking to stand up but Evans isn't so interested in that idea.

Evans changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eld tries to avoid it but Evans manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eld to the ground. Eld escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
