Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tran Do Di (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Einstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Einstein's choice of entrance music: Gold Soundz. Tran Do Di could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Albert Einstein's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tran Do Di!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Albert Einstein!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Einstein scores with a crisp jab that stopped Di in his tracks.
Einstein moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Di closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Di trying to control the position but Einstein is working away.
Einstein sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Einstein wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Einstein is refusing to be controlled, as Di sits in half guard.
Einstein is trying to maintain the position but Di is very close to passing his half guard.
Einstein misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Di is just content to waste time from the top position. Einstein takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Di tries to free his leg and advance position but Einstein is retaining full guard.

Di postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Einstein is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Di, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Di trying to hold on to Einstein's head to control him but Einstein postures up.

Di is staying active underneath Einstein, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Einstein uses his free foot to push down on Di's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Di.

Einstein has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Einstein lands a big shot there that rocks Di but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Einstein takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Einstein gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Di throws a right hand that Einstein ducks under and follows up with a left that Einstein also avoids with ease.
Di takes one on the button.
Einstein tests Di's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Einstein lunges at Di with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Di's hand.
Einstein lands a nice leg kick that just misses Di's sensitive parts.
Di fails with the takedown.
A chopping leg kick lands by Einstein.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Di clobbers Einstein with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Di keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Di closes the distance and clinches up with Einstein, looking for a takedown. Di pushes Einstein against the cage but Einstein circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Einstein moves into range and connects with a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Albert Einstein dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Di feints and as Einstein raises his hands in defense, Di changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Di is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Di is working for a submission of some sort.
Einstein is pressing down on Di's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Di stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Einstein swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Di drops back looking for a leg! Einstein is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Einstein manages to kick Di off! Di jumps back into Einstein's guard.
Einstein wants to hit a switch here but Di passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Einstein there!
Di tries to control but Einstein wriggling away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Di looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Einstein tries to roll over but Di keeps him under control.
Einstein regains full guard. Nicely done.
Einstein tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Di stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Einstein swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tran Do Di dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Di fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Einstein avoids it really well and circles away.
Einstein tries to clinch but Di moves out of range.
Di has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Einstein.
Einstein catches Di with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Einstein throws a lazy right hand but Di sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A jab from Di finds it's way through Einstein's defenses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Di.

The crowd cheers as Einstein lands an impressive looking overhand right. Di doesn't seem phased though.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tran Do Di. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Di connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Di throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A left lands for Einstein.
Einstein lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Einstein tries to close the distance and clinch up but Di swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Einstein counters with a solid body kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - Einstein looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Einstein creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Di's defenses.


It looks like Tran Do Di has been cut.
Einstein crunches a lovely knee into Di's ribcage.

Di tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Einstein just stands there and leans against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Einstein as the two fighters clinch.
Einstein is leaning against Di and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Einstein putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Di in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Einstein is pressed up against the cage. Di has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Einstein down to the mat. Einstein avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Einstein's jab looks to have found its range, popping Di under the eye.

Di takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Good leg kick by Einstein there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Einstein counters with a left to the body.
Einstein cracks the inside of Di's front leg.
Einstein lunges at Di with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Di's hand.
Di shoots and misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Di takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Di on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Einstein. Einstein obviously looking to wear him down.

Albert Einstein comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Einstein has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
