Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brian Nadeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Nadeau has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Nadeau!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Dixon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nice defenses there by Nadeau.
Dixon misses with a kick to the body.
Dixon shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Dixon closes the distance and clinches up with Nadeau, looking for a takedown. Dixon pushes Nadeau against the cage but Nadeau circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nadeau throws a lazy right hand but Dixon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dixon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Dixon checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Nadeau moves in looking to clinch but Dixon pushes him off.
Dixon looks for a takedown but Nadeau sprawls well.
Nadeau avoids a punch combination nicely.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dixon.
Dixon throws a jab when Nadeau was well out of range.

It looks like Brian Nadeau has been cut.
Dixon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dixon throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Nadeau tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dixon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nadeau somewhat.
Nadeau misses with a wild body shot.
Dixon throws a body punch but Nadeau moves out of range.
Dixon swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Nadeau closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nadeau lands in his opponent's guard.
Nadeau stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dixon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nadeau drops back looking for a leg! Dixon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dixon manages to kick Nadeau off! Nadeau jumps back into Dixon's guard.

Dixon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nadeau stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dixon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nadeau is pushing down on Dixon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dixon is fighting to maintain full guard but Nadeau has managed to sneak the leg through.

Nadeau cracks Dixon with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nadeau has the hooks in. Dixon is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Nadeau is not going to allow Dixon to sit and survive in this position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dixon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dixon looks to land a combination but Nadeau avoids it well.

Dixon looks for the body kick but Nadeau saw that one coming.

Nadeau gets a takedown into half guard.
Nadeau lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Nadeau uses his free foot to push down on Dixon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dixon.

Nadeau goes for an armbar but Dixon turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Dixon.
