Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalevi Sorsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James has chosen Whats New pussy Cat by Tom Jones as his entrance music. Kalevi Sorsa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Noel James's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kalevi Sorsa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Noel James! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sorsa. The fighters circling - James throws out the jab but it was never going to land. James moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Kalevi Sorsa has been cut. James throws a big shot that misses. A big right from James misses. Sorsa just misses with a punch to the body.
Noel James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James throws a jab when Sorsa was well out of range. James misses with a few strikes there.
Sorsa connects with the punch. Sorsa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sorsa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sorsa is on the wrong end of a nice combination from James. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sorsa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from James.

James throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sorsa lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. James throws a right and a left that both miss. Sorsa walks into a left hand. Sorsa slips under a jab. Sorsa connects with an inside leg kick. James looks gassed! Sorsa punishes James's body with a nice straight punch. This has been an exciting period of action! Sorsa lands a really nice looking cross but James seems unphased.
A momentary lapse in concentration from James enables Sorsa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. James manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Sorsa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. James swivels though and keeps the full guard. James keeping moving, preventing Sorsa from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sorsa looking to pass the guard. James has control of Sorsa's left arm, preventing Sorsa from doing any damage. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sorsa preventing the sweep.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A slow jab from James misses its intended target. James throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Sorsa counter with a right hand. Sorsa cracks a nice hook into James's ribs. A swing and a miss from James. James misses with a combination
and Sorsa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps James thinking. Sorsa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sorsa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sorsa moves out of range of the strikes. James throws a combination that misses and Sorsa counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Sorsa misses the shot to the body. A leg kick checked by James. Sorsa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. James was covering up waiting for the punch and Sorsa finishes the takedown easily into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sorsa engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sorsa connects with a couple of short punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James jabbing away but nothing is landing. James looks to land a right hand but Sorsa moved out of range. Sorsa defending well as James loads up on a big left hand. James throws a hook but Sorsa blocks it. James throws out a token jab with nothing on it. James thows a left - swing and a miss! A looping hook to the body misses from Sorsa. James does a little dance to reset his feet. James throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sorsa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sorsa trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sorsa is pressing down on James's thigh, looking to free his foot. James is holding on for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sorsa is stalling here. James is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sorsa seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and James has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. James wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sorsa keeps working. James advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. James looking to control but Sorsa is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. James tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, James cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

James thowing shots but they're missing. James trying to control but Sorsa is having none of it. James scoring with strikes but Sorsa is staying in there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. James can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sorsa is looking to escape. James is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. James might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sorsa kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Noel James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kalevi Sorsa's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

James throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. James takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. James throws out a loose jab but Sorsa uses good head movement to avoid it. James might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Sorsa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from James misses the target. James takes a swing at Sorsa's ribcage but misses. James lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. James throws a big shot that misses. Kalevi Sorsa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fighters circling - Sorsa throws out the jab but it was never going to land. James throws a nice looking combination but Sorsa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. James throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sorsa sees it coming and avoids it easily. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sorsa, as that shot connected.

James throws a lazy right hand but Sorsa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. James is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sorsa.

and Sorsa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sorsa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. James doesn't seem bothered though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sorsa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sorsa finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A big left from James misses. Sorsa ducks under a wild hook from James. Sorsa ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A telegraphed right hand from James misses the target. James swings and misses with a shot to the body and Sorsa counters with a nice body shot. Sorsa throws the kick towards the body but James avoids it. Sorsa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from James.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James throws out a token jab with nothing on it. James throws the left hand but Sorsa avoids the punch easily. Sorsa shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. James is trying to defend but Sorsa finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. James wants to get back to full guard. Sorsa is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. James gets full guard. James is pulling down on Sorsa's head to control his posture. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sorsa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Kalevi Sorsa showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sorsa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
