Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Demian Weed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thai Shu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by We International. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shu looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Some wild striking there from Shu.
Shu is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Weed.
Weed shoots in for a takedown but Shu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Shu misses with a body kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Weed feints and as Shu raises his hands in defense, Weed changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Weed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Weed passes Shu's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Demian Weed.
Weed shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shu defends it nicely.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Weed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Weed seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Shu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
