Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Will Knockout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug McSwain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Will Knockout!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doug McSwain!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knockout has a takedown stuffed.
Knockout tries to clinch up.
Knockout fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
McSwain shoots in but no luck this time.
Knockout doesn't manage to clinch there - McSwain circles away.
Knockout misses with a takedown

and McSwain counters by clinching up.

McSwain lands with a right to the head.
Knockout blocks a punch to the side of the head.
McSwain lands a right hand that snaps the head of Knockout backwards.

McSwain connects with a big uppercut there that sends Knockout tumbling to the ground! McSwain follows him down into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McSwain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knockout keeps working.

Despite being in the dominant position, Doug McSwain just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Knockout shoots in and bounces McSwain off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Knockout stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McSwain swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Knockout sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McSwain's guard.

Knockout is looking for a kimura but McSwain is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Knockout to get the leverage.

That's time! Knockout's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The fight stays on the outside here - Knockout looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Knockout gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
McSwain controlling the position easily from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Doug McSwain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
