Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Hassan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalib Whealen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hassan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to My Reign. Whealen has chosen Here Comes The Money as his entrance music. Kalib Whealen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whealen tries for a takedown but Hassan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hassan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Whealen circles away quickly and effectively.
Hassan throws a series of punches but Whealen avoids them all with ease.
Whealen shoots in for a takedown but Hassan shows good takedown defense.
Horrible takedown by Whealen or perhaps it was just good defense by Hassan which made him look bad.
Mohammed Hassan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalib Whealen.
Whealen shoots in looking for a takedown. Hassan tries to sprawl out of it but Whealen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hassan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Whealen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hassan throws a right hand that Whealen ducks under and follows up with a left that Whealen also avoids with ease.
Whealen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hassan defends it nicely.
Mohammed Hassan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whealen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hassan as he avoids it easily.

Hassan looks to land a combination but Whealen avoids it well.
Hassan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hassan throws a right hand that Whealen ducks under and follows up with a left that Whealen also avoids with ease.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hassan fails to land with a series of punches.
Hassan misses with a few strikes there.
Whealen shoots in but no luck this time.

Whealen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hassan napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Whealen tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Whealen wants to control for a moment but Hassan uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Hassan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Whealen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Whealen's back!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hassan is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Whealen is defending well though. Hassan let's go of the attempt for now.
Hassan is not going to allow Whealen to sit and survive in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hassan sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Whealen taps out!
