The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monthan gets caught flat footed, as Bee shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Monthan keeping moving, preventing Bee from controlling successfully.
Monthan looking for a sweep. Not yet Monthan, not yet.

Monthan looking for a guillotine here but Bee defends easily.
Monthan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Monthan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Bee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Monthan can't keep his opponent in guard - Bee advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bee is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Monthan is looking to improve his position.

Bee is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bee is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Monthan!

Bee has hold of Monthan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Monthan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bee fails to take his opponent's back.
Monthan is working to get back to half guard.
Bee scores with a couple of good head shots there.
