The crowd seem to be enjoying Rodriguez's choice of entrance music: Champion by Flipsyde. Hei Li has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez connects with a looping right hand.
Li looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rodriguez is fending him off so far but Li persists. Nope, Rodriguez circles away and we're back to standing.
Li has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Hei Li has been cut.
Li closes the distance and clinches up with Rodriguez, looking for a takedown. Li pushes Rodriguez against the cage but Rodriguez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rodriguez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Li.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hei Li. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rodriguez slaps away a takedown attempt from Li, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Li looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Rodriguez drops Li with a beautiful combination! Li stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rodriguez is looking for the KO!
Li is rocked!
Rodriguez Throws a clean left jab. Rodriguez Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Li's chin! Li crumbles to the ground and Rodriguez follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Rodriguez!
