Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tex Brasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Stevenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tex Brasco! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brasco avoids the head kick by Stevenson.
A left and a right from Stevenson both land. Nice combination. Stevenson scores with a one two! Brasco had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Brasco shoots in for a takedown but Stevenson shows good takedown defense. Stevenson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Stevenson misses with a two punch combination.
Stevenson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Stevenson. Brasco looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Stevenson wants to get back to his feet.
Brasco moves nicely into side control. Brasco thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stevenson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brasco's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Stevenson is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brasco is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Brasco escapes and gets back to his feet. Brasco fails in his attempt to clinch. Josh Stevenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stevenson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brasco shoots for a double leg takedown but Stevenson sprawls well. He's pushed Brasco's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Stevenson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Stevenson misses with the combination.

Josh Stevenson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Brasco blocks a head kick by Stevenson.
Brasco shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stevenson pinned against the cage. Stevenson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Josh Stevenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tex Brasco. Stevenson throws a combination. Brasco tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Stevenson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Brasco looks gassed! Stevenson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Stevenson gets caught flat footed, as Brasco shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Brasco must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Stevenson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Stevenson wants to stand up but Brasco is controlling him. Brasco trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stevenson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Brasco dives into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brasco cracks Stevenson with a big right hand but Stevenson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stevenson tries to bench press Brasco off him but Brasco keeps the position. Stevenson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Brasco missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brasco sitting and controlling from the half guard. Brasco trying to work for an americana but Stevenson has managed to regain full guard.
Stevenson punching from the bottom - just letting Brasco know he's still in a fight. Brasco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stevenson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brasco with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Brasco throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Brasco advances to half guard. Brasco content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. I looks like Brasco might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Brasco's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Brasco is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ground and pound from Brasco. Stevenson is in trouble now - Brasco has advanced to mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Josh Stevenson will probably get the nod. That's time! Stevenson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Brasco shoots in and bounces Stevenson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Brasco has gone for a leg lock! Stevenson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brasco's guard. Brasco wants to sweep here but Stevenson controlling him for the moment. Brasco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stevenson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stevenson has gone for a leg lock! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brasco shoots in for a takedown but Stevenson shows good takedown defense. Stevenson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Brasco drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Brasco trying to control the position from guard on top but Stevenson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brasco gets to his feet. Stevenson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brasco feints and as Stevenson raises his hands in defense, Brasco changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Brasco looking to improve position, pressing down on Stevenson's thigh with his hand. Stevenson seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Brasco paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Brasco's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Stevenson picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
