Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lasse Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes comes to the cage accompanied by Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be. Nate Barnes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lasse Kongo's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes slips a straight right by Kongo.
Kongo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barnes tries to land a leg kick but Kongo saw it coming and moves away.
Kongo tries to clinch up but Barnes circles away and keeps his distance.
Barnes tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Barnes works Kongo's body with a nice hook.
Barnes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kongo throws a sloppy head kick and Barnes moves out of range easily.
Kongo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Barnes will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Barnes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kongo. Kongo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Kongo uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Barnes has time to react.

Barnes lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kongo or not.
Barnes can't find room to land a body shot as Kongo controls the action.

Kongo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barnes.

and Kongo counters with a left to the body.
Barnes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kongo pinned against the cage. Kongo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kongo tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Nate Barnes's cut is getting worse.
Barnes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Barnes misses with a looping left.

Kongo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kongo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kongo thumps Barnes with a low kick.
Barnes throws a hook to the side of Kongo's head but Kongo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kongo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Barnes fails to land with a series of punches.

Barnes cracks a nice hook into Kongo's ribs.
Kongo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Barnes.
Kongo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kongo catches Barnes with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kongo throws a low kick, looking for Barnes's leg but Barnes calmly moves out of range.

and Barnes counters with a good low kick that Kongo was not able to check.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barnes wants to clinch.
Barnes fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kongo is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lasse Kongo dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kongo tries to land a front kick but Barnes steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Barnes scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Barnes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kongo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Barnes can pounce on him.
Barnes moves into range and connects with a jab.
Barnes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kongo tries to avoid it but Barnes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kongo to the ground. Kongo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That kick from Barnes tenderised Kongo's leg. Kongo is trying to keep his angry face on.
