Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Squirtle Blastoise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Helix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blastoise comes to the cage accompanied by Squirtle is one bad mother!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Squirtle Blastoise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Helix!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blastoise throws a front kick aimed at Helix's knee but Helix avoids it well.
Helix misses with a hook.
Helix misses with a straight right.
Helix loads up on a big right hand but Blastoise slips the punch.
Helix thows a leg kick but Blastoise checks it
and Blastoise counters with a good low kick that Helix was not able to check.
Blastoise tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Helix throws a leg kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Helix throws out a loose jab but Blastoise uses good head movement to avoid it.
Helix throws a hook to the side of Blastoise's head but Blastoise sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Helix moves out of range of the body kick from Blastoise.

Blastoise looks for the body kick but Helix saw that one coming.
Blastoise throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Helix checks the leg kick.
Helix throws a body punch but Blastoise moves out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Helix crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Blastoise - the referee stops the clock and Helix gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Blastoise. Helix manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Blastoise uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Helix.
Blastoise slips under a jab.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Helix misses with an uppercut. Blastoise saw that one coming.
Helix shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Blastoise counters with an outside leg kick.
Blastoise tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Helix is able to avoid easily.
Blastoise misses with a takedown attempt
and Helix decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Blastoise's guard.
Blastoise is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Helix defends well.
Helix gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Blastoise slips a jab from Helix.

Helix throws the left hand but Blastoise avoids the punch easily.
Helix blocks a head kick by Blastoise.
Blastoise fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Helix manages to avoid it.
Blastoise moves out of range of the strikes.
Helix checks a low kick from Blastoise.
Blastoise tries to land a front kick but Helix steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Helix just misses with a punch to the body.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Helix throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Blastoise misses with a takedown
and Helix counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Blastoise's guard now.
Helix must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Helix is looking to work some ground and pound but Blastoise has wrist control.

Helix thows a big elbow that misses.
Helix is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Helix passes Blastoise's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Blastoise trying to hold on to Helix's head to control him but Helix postures up.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Helix closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Helix lands in his opponent's guard.
Blastoise keeping moving, preventing Helix from controlling successfully.

Blastoise is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Helix is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Helix has escaped and now he's on top!
Helix stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blastoise swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blastoise is on top in guard.

Blastoiseis looking to pass into half guard but Helix pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Helix is in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Helix stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blastoise swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Blastoise throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Blastoise wants to sweep but no luck.
Helix with a nice head shot there.
Helix works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Helix seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blastoise does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Blastoise is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Helix pulls his head out easily.
Blastoise won't allow Helix to pass to mount.
Helix is stalling here. Blastoise is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Helix seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Blastoise has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Helix is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Blastoise trying to control the action but Helix is working from the bottom.
Helix works his way to full guard. Good work.
Helix wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Helix controls Blastoise momentarily but Blastoise frees himself.
Blastoise wants to control from the top but Helix keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Blastoise is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Helix lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blastoise!

Helix is landing with some decent strikes but Blastoise is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Helix is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Blastoise is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Blastoise flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Helix anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Blastoise and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Helix slips an arm under Blastoise chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Helix has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Helix is squeezing on Blastoise like an anaconda would it's prey. Blastoise fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
