Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Smashed Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Desmond Bryant will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smashed Face shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bryant's guard.
Bryant trying to keep a closed guard but Smashed Face is proving a slippery customer.

Bryant looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Smashed Face got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bryant has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smashed Face has managed to get both his arms back between Bryant's legs - danger averted.
Bryant keeping moving, preventing Smashed Face from controlling successfully.
Smashed Face postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bryant is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Smashed Face wants to get back to full guard.

Bryant is trying to control. Smashed Face wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Smashed Face is not content to let Bryant control the position.
Smashed Face is trying to maintain the position but Bryant is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bryant prevents Smashed Face from improving his position.
Bryant looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bryant works his foot free and advances to mount.

Bryant with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Smashed Face could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bryant throws some wild stikes that Smashed Face manages to avoid easily.

Bryant trying to control but Smashed Face is having none of it.
Smashed Face is desperately trying to improve his position but Bryant has a good base and remains in mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bryant wants to control the pace but Smashed Face is squirming around nicely.

Bryant is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Smashed Face to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Smashed Face shrugs it off.
Smashed Face is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Smashed Face wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Bryant working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Smashed Face is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Bryant has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Smashed Face taps out!
