Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paolo Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Da Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Capoeira do Brasil (Sergio Mendes & Brazil 66). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Couture!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture misses with a hook.
Da Silva connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Couture looks to throw the jab but Da Silva is out of range.
Couture misses with a straight left.
Couture lands a left and a right that send Da Silva crashing to the mat, dazed. Couture thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Da Silva is rocked!
It looks like Paolo Da Silva has been cut.
A telegraphed right hand from Couture misses the target.
Oh Da Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Couture avoids the body shot from Da Silva.
Couture moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Da Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
Da Silva jabs Couture to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Da Silva staying out of range there.
Couture tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Couture takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That kick from Da Silva tenderised Couture's leg. Couture is trying to keep his angry face on.
Da Silva closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Couture quickly recovers to half guard.
Couture has hold of Da Silva's hands but Da Silva slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Da Silva looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Couture with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Couture is rocked!
Da Silva is pressing down on Couture's thigh, looking to free his foot. Couture is holding on for now.
Da Silva lands with a punch from half guard.
Da Silva lands strikes from half guard.
Da Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Couture's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Couture keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Da Silva works his way into side control.
Da Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Couture keeps working.
Da Silva passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Couture!
Couture sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Couture avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Da Silva.
Couture blocking the ground and pound attempt from Da Silva.
Da Silva missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Couture trying to control but Da Silva postures up.
Da Silva passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Da Silva throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Da Silva putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
BOOM! Da Silva connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Couture is still in real trouble! Can Da Silva finish him?

Da Silva postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Couture badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Da Silva around the waist but Da Silva pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Da Silva is the winner by TKO! Da Silva jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paolo Da Silva!
