The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Majime circles away quickly and effectively.
Slim throws a nice looking combination but Majime bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Majime's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

You get the feeling that Majime really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Majime takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Slim had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Majime defends it easily.

Slim has control of Majime's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Majime regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Slim is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Majime has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Majime!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Barbados Slim.
