Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Kuustonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mikko Kuustonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frankie Edgar!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Edgar.
A lull in the action here.
I looks like Edgar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Frankie Edgar hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Kuustonen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Edgar.
Kuustonen throws a big shot that misses.

Kuustonen fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Edgar tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Edgar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Edgar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuustonen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Let's hope that Edgar has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Edgar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuustonen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Edgar wants to pass the guard but Kuustonen is defending well.

Kuustonen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Kuustonen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Edgar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kuustonen.

Edgar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Edgar stands up and beckons Kuustonen to his feet.

Kuustonen tries to bum rush Edgar with a series of wild strikes but Edgar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Edgar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Edgar jumps guard but Kuustonen stands there with Edgar around his waist. Edgar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Edgar is trying to break the clinch but Kuustonen is controlling him.
Edgar ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Edgar no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Kuustonen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Edgar is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Edgar has escaped and now he's on top!
Edgar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuustonen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kuustonen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Edgar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Frankie Edgar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Edgar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
