Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slaven Donnech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akinori Tadano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tadano has chosen Elevator by Eminem as his entrance music. Akinori Tadano is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akinori Tadano!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donnech changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tadano looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Donnech tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Tadano isn't going anywhere.
Tadano can't do much from the bottom here.
Donnech is trying to get an arm triangle but Tadano is defending well.

Donnech creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Tadano sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Tadano takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Donnech wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tadano, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Donnech looks up at the clock and then as Tadano takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Donnech smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Tadano wants to get back to his feet.
Donnech tries for a kimura but Tadano is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Donnech thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tadano is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Donnech asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Donnech wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tadano keeps working.

The cut above Akinori Tadano's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Akinori Tadano's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
