Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anus Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Ronny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saukko is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Anus Saukko has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saukko misses with the combination.
Anus Saukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saukko looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Ronny fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Saukko sprawls well initially but Ronny persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ronny is looking for a kimura but Saukko is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ronny to get the leverage.
Saukko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Saukko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ronny on the ground.
Ronny thows a huge punch but Saukko dodges it nicely.

Ronny is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Saukko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ronny.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ronny seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Saukko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ronny decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Ronny shoots for a double leg takedown but Saukko sprawls well. He's pushed Ronny's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ronny ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ronny no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ronny is trying to control the position but Saukko postures up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Ronny pushes Saukko off and gets back to his feet.

Ronny closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Mike Ronny showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Saukko throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ronny throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Ronny closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Saukko did well to prevent Ronny getting side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ronny throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Saukko's waist but Saukko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ronny off to one side.
