Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between The Manliest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bjorn Svenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manliest's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ontlogy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, The Manliest!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bjorn Svenson!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manliest throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Svenson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Manliest misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Svenson throws a right hand that Manliest ducks under and follows up with a left that Manliest also avoids with ease.
Manliest uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Svenson.
Svenson fails to land with a series of punches.
Svenson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manliest manages to avoid it.
Svenson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Svenson swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Manliest is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Svenson's half guard.

Svenson is staying active underneath Manliest, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Manliest is nestled in close to Svenson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Svenson is trying to stand up here but Manliest is controlling him well.
Manliest is looking to take a break and control but Svenson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Manliest is pressing down on Svenson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Svenson is holding on for now.
Svenson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Manliest. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manliest swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Svenson is now in Manliest's guard. A big mistake from Manliest there, giving up the dominant position!

Manliest manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Manliest wants to take his opponent's back but Svenson doesn't allow it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Svenson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Manliest is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Svenson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Svenson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Manliest.

That's time! Manliest's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Manliest shoots in for a takedown but Svenson shows good takedown defense.
A looping hook to the body misses from Manliest. Svenson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Svenson loads up on a big right hand but Manliest slips the punch.
Manliest wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Manliest looks for a takedown but Svenson sprawls well.
Bjorn Svenson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Svenson tries to close the distance and clinch but Manliest swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manliest shoots in but Svenson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Manliest. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A jab from Svenson finds it's way through Manliest's defenses.
Manliest really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Svenson takes a swing at Manliest's ribcage but misses.
Svenson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Manliest fails to land the takedown.
Svenson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Manliest on the side of the head.

Manliest takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Manliest closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Manliest lands in his opponent's guard.

Svenson wants to get up but he can't break Manliest's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Manliest is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Manliest looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Svenson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Manliest has his hands clasped together around Svenson's back. He's all about the action.

Svenson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Manliest.
Manliest is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Svenson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Svenson's back!

Svenson manages to stand up with Manliest still on his back. Eventually Manliest drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
Bjorn Svenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Manliest feints and as Svenson raises his hands in defense, Manliest changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Manliest wants to control from the top but Svenson keeps moving.
Manliest has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Manliest drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Svenson dives on top into guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that The Manliest will probably get the nod.

Svenson throws a nice looking combination but Manliest bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Manliest has gone for a leg lock! Svenson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Manliest's guard.
Manliest is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Manliest is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Manliest is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Svenson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Manliest.

No luck for Manliest with that takedown attempt.
Svenson catches Manliest with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Manliest, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
