Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tao Bugs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Henson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bugs throws a series of strikes that have Henson backpedaling.
Henson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bugs avoids it really well and circles away.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Henson.
Henson is trying to move to mount but Bugs reverses beautifully and ends up in Henson's guard.
Bugs stops Henson from standing up.
Henson wants to sweep but no luck.

Henson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bugs counters with a leg kick.

Henson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Henson closes the distance but Bugs moves to the side
and Bugs counters with a takedown into side control.
Henson tries to bench press Bugs off him but Bugs keeps the position.
You can see the frustration on Henson's face as Bugs controls the position.
Henson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bugs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bugs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Henson is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bugs is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bugs tries to control but Henson wriggling away.
Bugs takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Henson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bugs gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Bugs makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bugs.
Bugs wants to stand up but Henson is controlling him.
Bugs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bugs is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Henson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bugs up against the cage.

and Bugs moves into the clinch.
Bugs is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Henson can't fight it off and eventually Bugs manages to take the fight to the floor. Henson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bugs won't allow Henson to get back to his feet.

Bugs gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Bugs is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Henson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Henson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bugs counters with a shoot takedown. Henson fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Henson controls Bugs momentarily but Bugs frees himself.
Henson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bugs has picked Henson up and slammed him! Henson can't keep hold of the triangle and Bugs manages to pass to side control!

Henson can't do much from the bottom here.
Bugs content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Henson looks to move to half guard but instead Bugs has passed into mount! Damn!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bugs looking for a guillotine from mount but Henson is having none of it.
Henson is working to get back to half guard.
Henson tries to lock up and control but Bugs gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Bugs controlling his opponent.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Henson shoots in for a double leg but Bugs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bugs throws a series of punches but Henson moves out of range.
Bugs keeps the fight on the outside.
Bugs shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bugs showed some decent athleticism there.
Henson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bugs jumps into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bugs is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Henson's shoulder. That is not cool.
Bugs stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Bugs throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Henson was covering up waiting for the punch and Bugs finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Henson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bugs escapes and throws Henson's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bugs creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Bugs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Henson keeps working.

Bugs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Henson's waist but Henson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bugs off to one side.
Tao Bugs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bugs, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
