The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jach throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Li shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jach is trying to defend but Li finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Li decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Li takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Li takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Li lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jach seems to have got his legs back now.
Jach takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Li loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Jach scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Li land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Li stands and salutes the crowd.
