The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barry shoots in and drives through. Lao sprawls well.
Barry swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lao showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barry.
Barry throws a nice looking combination but Lao bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Barry tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lao sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barry somewhat.
Barry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barry is breathing heavily.
Barry tries to land a leg kick but Lao saw it coming and moves away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Barry enables Lao to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Barry manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Lao postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Lao passes Barry's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

A big strike lands for Lao! That's really hurt Barry and he's turned his back - Lao keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Lao jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
