Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chun Ka Tet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manolo do Jiu Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ka Tet slips a straight right by do Jiu Jitsu.
Ka Tet slaps away a takedown attempt from do Jiu Jitsu, before circling back to the center of the mat.
do Jiu Jitsu closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ka Tet sizes up do Jiu Jitsu with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
do Jiu Jitsu tries to clinch but Ka Tet moves out of range.
Ka Tet avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ka Tet scores with a takedown into do Jiu Jitsu's guard.
do Jiu Jitsu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ka Tet controls the pace.

do Jiu Jitsu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ka Tet defends it easily.
do Jiu Jitsu looking to control.
Ka Tet has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
do Jiu Jitsu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ka Tet is one step ahead there.
Ka Tet is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ka Tet stops do Jiu Jitsu from standing up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ka Tet controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

do Jiu Jitsu on the wrong end of a nice hook.

do Jiu Jitsu tries to clinch up but Ka Tet circles away and keeps his distance.

and Ka Tet counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Ka Tet moves nicely into side control.

Ka Tet stands up and we're back to a striking position.
do Jiu Jitsu takes a jab right on the kisser.
do Jiu Jitsu is breathing heavily.

Ka Tet connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed do Jiu Jitsu momentarily.
Ka Tet scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Ka Tet scores with a jab. do Jiu Jitsu acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ka Tet bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of do Jiu Jitsu's head.
Manolo do Jiu Jitsu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
do Jiu Jitsu drops his hands momentarily and Ka Tet takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Ka Tet looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for do Jiu Jitsu!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ka Tet takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ka Tet has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

do Jiu Jitsu wants to control but Ka Tet is having none of it.
Ka Tet content just to control the position here.
Ka Tet seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down do Jiu Jitsu for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Chun Ka Tet just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Ka Tet ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ka Tet lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Ka Tet scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Danga de danga de dang - Ka Tet scores with a four punch combination!
Ka Tet lands a right hook to the body.

Ka Tet closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ka Tet lands in his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chun Ka Tet dominated that second round.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Chun Ka Tet just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Ka Tet stalks do Jiu Jitsu and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into do Jiu Jitsu's face. do Jiu Jitsu staggers backwards, shaken.
do Jiu Jitsu throws a half hearted mid kick.
do Jiu Jitsu walks into a stiff left hand from Ka Tet.
Ka Tet scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
do Jiu Jitsu takes a jab right on the kisser.
Ka Tet throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent do Jiu Jitsu stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
do Jiu Jitsu needs to keep his hands up - Ka Tet had a free shot at his head there.

Ka Tet gets a takedown into half guard.
Ka Tet wants to free his trapped foot but do Jiu Jitsu is holding on for dear life with his legs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ka Tet with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Manolo do Jiu Jitsu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chun Ka Tet is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chun Ka Tet showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ka Tet has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
