Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darius Timmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Timmons has chosen Still Ballin as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timmons pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Timmons closes the distance and clinches.
Blood tries to pull guard but Timmons won't allow it.
Timmons effectively controlling the action here.
Timmons jumps guard but Blood stands there with Timmons around his waist. Timmons gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Timmons lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Timmons breaks from the clinch.

Timmons has managed to clinch.
Timmons tries to pull guard but Blood holds him up against the cage and eventually Timmons drops back down to his feet.

Timmons breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blood leaves Timmons with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mike Blood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darius Timmons.
Timmons doesn't manage to clinch there - Blood circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Timmons throws a head kick that Blood semi-blocks.

Timmons changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blood looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blood manages to get back to half guard.
Well, if Timmons is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
