Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ratchenko closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming idk to the mat! idk manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
idk is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
idk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ratchenko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
idk manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
idk trying to control but Ratchenko is having none of it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, idk cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
idk has control of Ratchenko's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ratchenko regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ratchenko is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Ratchenko got a little sloppy there for a moment and idk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ratchenko has managed to get both his arms back between idk's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ratchenko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
idk escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ratchenko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ratchenko is really struggling to control idk but he's trying to hold on to the position.
idk throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Yevgeni Ratchenko just wasn't active enough.
idk shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than idk was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
