PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Action (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Scott will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rock Action!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Scott!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Action slips a jab and a cross from Scott.
Scott scores with a shot to the body.
Scott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Action moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Action shoots for a takedown but Scott saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Action is looking to clinch but Scott is avoiding it.
Scott misses with the combination.
Action closes the distance and clinches up with Scott, looking for a takedown. Action pushes Scott against the cage but Scott circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Action or perhaps it was just good defense by Scott which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rock Action. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Scott moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Scott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Action does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Scott might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Scott decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Action's guard.

Scott drops back looking for a leg! Action is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Action manages to kick Scott off! Scott jumps back into Action's guard.

Action had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Scott defends it easily.
