Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Rose as Chew shoots in.
Chew shoots in for a takedown but Rose shows good takedown defense.
Rose tries to work over Chew's front leg with a kick but Chew checks it.
Rose gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Chew tries to free his leg and advance position but Rose is retaining full guard.

Rose is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Chew is trying to maintain the position but Rose is very close to passing his half guard.

Rose is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chew doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rose.
Rose seems to be working for a kimura but Chew defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chew is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rose's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rose's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chew has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Rose has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Rose manages to reverse the position and now he's in Chew's guard. Nice work there by Rose.

Chew has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rose can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Chew gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Chew gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Rose wants to control but Chew is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Rose has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rose's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Rose drags the fight down to the ground.
Chew passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Chew wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rose, who protects the arm well.
Chew decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Rose circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rose holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Rose has Chew pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Chew manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rose lands a takedown into guard.
Rose drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rose jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Rose is sitting in close to Chew's body. Chew has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Rose is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Rose is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Chew.
