Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Corleone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Klaus Hoffmann!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corleone shoots in looking for a takedown. Hoffmann tries to sprawl out of it but Corleone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hoffmann manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hoffmann.
Corleone tries to clinch but Hoffmann moves out of range.
Corleone misses with a takedown attempt
and Hoffmann counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Corleone really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Corleone takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Corleone shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hoffmann counters with a huge head kick that drops Corleone! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Klaus Hoffmann!
