PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bader comes to the cage accompanied by "Darth Bader". Shane Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bader shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bader has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Bader working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Bader working for a guillotine from mount but Silva is in no mood to give up.
Silva blocking the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bader throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Silva because Bader loaded up on that one.
Bader has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Silva is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Bader looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.
