Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bronko Nord!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Davis!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nord rushes Davis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Davis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nord looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Nord is looking to clinch but Davis is avoiding it.

and Nord counters with a single leg into guard. Davis didn't expect that.

Davis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Davis takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Nord shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Davis napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Nord thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Nord decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Davis goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Nord tries to close the distance and clinch but Davis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Davis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nord to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davis wants to get back to his feet but Nord is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Davis tries to bum rush Nord with a series of wild strikes but Nord uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Davis counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Nord is lucky that one didn't land flush.
