Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between DATU I (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Shkutov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Shkutov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shkutov wants to clinch.
Shkutov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. I defends it nicely.
Shkutov shoots in looking for a takedown. I tries to sprawl out of it but Shkutov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. I manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Shkutov tries to close the distance and clinch but I swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shkutov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
DATU I has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Shkutov.
Shkutov feints and then cracks I 's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow I down.

I looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
I working the head and body with strikes.
I working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
I wants to pass to mount but Shkutov is defending the position.
Shkutov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
I not landing any meaningful shots this time.
I prevents Shkutov from improving his position.
I seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Shkutov tries to get to full guard but I has control of the leg.
Shkutov wants to control but I is keeping busy and won't allow it.
I works his foot free and advances to mount.
I unloading with bombs!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
I landing strikes from the mount and Shkutov is in trouble!
Shkutov is bucking up trying to escape but I cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Shkutov is rocked!
I loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Shkutov scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from I land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. I stands and salutes the crowd.
