Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathers throws a shot to the body.
Hawkins gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Mathers punishes Hawkins's body with a nice straight punch.
Hawkins walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hawkins shoots in for a takedown but Mathers shows good takedown defense.
Mathers lands a really nice looking cross but Hawkins seems unphased.
Mathers leaves Hawkins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mathers lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hawkins drops his hands momentarily and Mathers takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hawkins throws the kick towards the body but Mathers avoids it.
Mathers lands with a shot to the body.
Mathers lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Mathers ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Mathers scores with a shot to the body.
Hawkins takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mathers scores with a jab. Hawkins acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mathers lands a slapping body shot.
Mathers scores with a nice right hand.
Mathers comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hawkins is breathing heavily.
Mathers paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hawkins with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mathers to score with a decent uppercut.
Mathers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hawkins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Mathers scores with a nice right hand.
Mathers connects with the punch.
Mathers cracks Hawkins with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Hawkins walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Hawkins takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hawkins takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mathers scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hawkins doesn't seem bothered though.
Hawkins drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Mathers is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hawkins had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
A punch lands to the side of Hawkins 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mathers tests Hawkins's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mathers scores with a nice head shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hawkins is rocked!
The fighters circling - Mathers throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Oh Hawkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mathers pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hawkins looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Mathers lands with a shot to the body.
Hawkins defending well as Mathers loads up on a big left hand.
Hawkins seems to have got his legs back now.
Hawkins walks into a straight right hand from Mathers.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hawkins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mathers dips to his left and cracks Hawkins with an uppercut!
BOOM! Mathers lands a beautiful left hook that drops Hawkins. Hawkins tries to recover but Mathers is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Hawkins lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
