Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drunken Skunk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Hinton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hinton comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Impending Doom - Silence The Oppressors kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Marvin Hinton will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skunk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hinton's waist but Hinton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Skunk off to one side.
No joy there for Skunk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hinton misses with a combination
enabling Skunk to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd cheers as Hinton lands an impressive looking overhand right. Skunk doesn't seem phased though.
Hinton swings for the body but Skunk moves out of range.
Hinton looks to land a combination but Skunk avoids it well.
Skunk swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Skunk takes the fight into the clinch.
Skunk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hinton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Skunk counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Skunk counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Hinton wants to improve his position but Skunk is controlling well.

Skunk looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hinton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hinton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Skunk prevents Hinton from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hinton looks gassed!
Skunk stands up from Hinton's guard - Skunk perhaps looking for a knockout.
Hinton tests Skunk's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hinton throws a series of punches but Skunk moves out of range.
Hinton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Skunk throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hinton counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Skunk misses with a body shot.
Hinton takes a swing at Skunk's ribcage but misses.
Hinton throws a poor cross that misses
and Skunk counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hinton won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skunk decides to stand back up. Skunk steps back and let's Hinton get back to his feet.
Skunk scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Skunk stands up and beckons Hinton to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.

Skunk looks to land a combination. Hinton sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Hinton is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Skunk drives through and clinches with Hinton against the cage.
Skunk wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hinton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Skunk misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hinton falls off balance throwing a combination
and Skunk counters with a one-two to the body.
Skunk really is a fat lump.
Hinton misses with a double jab.
Hinton takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Skunk shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drunken Skunk. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hinton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hinton stuffs the takedown attempt from Skunk. Skunk gets slowly back to his feet.
Skunk rushes Hinton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hinton keeps control of Skunk as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hinton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hinton shoots in and drives through. Skunk sprawls well.
Skunk gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Skunk stuffs the takedown.
Skunk gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hinton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Skunk is rocked!
Hinton tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hinton fails to land the takedown.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Skunk with a lazy takedown attempt

Skunk looks up at the clock. Bad move! Hinton lands a right hand from hell, dropping Skunk. Hinton pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
