The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balanko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Balanko dives in and grabs love's left leg, looking for a takedown. love pushes down on Balanko's head and hops out.
Balanko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

love darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
love missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Balanko is holding on to half guard well.
love trying to pass the guard but Balanko defending well.
love content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Balanko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with love. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

love takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
love prevents Balanko from improving his position.
love uses his free foot to push down on Balanko's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Balanko.

Balanko tries to improve his position but love has taken his back! love has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Balanko tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! love pushes Balanko away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
