Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Monika Szlesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Monika Szlesz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randy King!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szlesz takes one to the chin there.
King scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Szlesz doesn't seem bothered though.

Szlesz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
King is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Szlesz is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Szlesz is looking for a kimura but King is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Szlesz to get the leverage.
King trying to control but Szlesz postures up.
King is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Szlesz scores with a couple of nice shots.
King is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
King is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Szlesz wants to stand up but King is controlling the position.
King trying to hold on to Szlesz's head to control him but Szlesz postures up.

Szlesz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and King defends it well.
Szlesz is keen to just control but King is a slippery customer.
Szlesz is really struggling to control King but he's trying to hold on to the position.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Szlesz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
King swats away the attempt to clinch by Szlesz.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Szlesz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as King sprawls well. King wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Szlesz gets slowly back to his feet.
King scores with a jab to the head.
King smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
King dips to his left and cracks Szlesz with an uppercut!
Szlesz tries to clinch but King is having none of it.
King lands a glancing blow to the side of Szlesz's head.
Randy King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Szlesz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Szlesz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in King's half guard.
Szlesz prevents King from improving his position.
King moves into full guard.

Szlesz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Szlesz gets to his feet - King follows without any prompting.
King throws a jab when Szlesz was well out of range.
King misses with a straight right.
King misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Szlesz.
Szlesz wants to clinch up but King keeps it at a distance.
King circles away from the clinch attempt.
Szlesz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

King throws a big shot that misses.

Szlesz closes the distance and clinches.
Szlesz tries to pull guard but King won't allow it.
Szlesz tries for a takedown. No joy.

King throws out a loose jab but Szlesz uses good head movement to avoid it.

Szlesz feints and as King raises his hands in defense, Szlesz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
King tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Szlesz trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Szlesz gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Szlesz tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.
King might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Szlesz drops his hands momentarily and King takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Szlesz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
King misses the shot to the body.
King throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Szlesz is defended easily by King.
Szlesz doesn't manage to clinch there - King circles away.
Szlesz has a takedown stuffed.
Szlesz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with King but King pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Szlesz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so King is just riding it out for now. Szlesz eventually gives up the hold.

Szlesz has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can King defend it? Szlesz steps over the head and cranks it - King is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Szlesz!
