Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Hamasagawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakura Nazayami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiroshi Hamasagawa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hakura Nazayami's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hakura Nazayami!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamasagawa is looking to chop away at Nazayami's legs.
Nazayami tries to land a front kick but Hamasagawa steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Nazayami misses with an elbow over the top.

Nazayami pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nazayami throws a wild body kick that Hamasagawa sees coming a mile off.
Nazayami is looking to land body kicks.
Hamasagawa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nazayami moves away.
Hamasagawa misses with a leg kick.
Nazayami goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Hamasagawa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nazayami's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hiroshi Hamasagawa.

Nazayami lands a knee to the body.
Hamasagawa can't get the takedown.

Nazayami is trying to maintain a safe position but Hamasagawa gets an underhook and turns Nazayami into the cage.
Nazayami is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hamasagawa holds on and takes a little breather.

Nazayami chips away with some ground and pound.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hamasagawa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nazayami looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nazayami is not content to let Hamasagawa control the position.

Hamasagawa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nazayami is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Nazayami throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Nazayami tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hamasagawa wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hamasagawa advances to full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hiroshi Hamasagawa dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Nazayami goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Nazayami looks to land a body kick but Hamasagawa moved away.
Hamasagawa moves out of range of the body kick.
Nazayami throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Nazayami circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nazayami moves in looking to clinch but Hamasagawa pushes him off.
Nazayami is looking to land body kicks.
Hamasagawa fails in his attempt to clinch.

Hamasagawa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hamasagawa remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Nazayami wants to control but Hamasagawa postures up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nazayami tries to buck Hamasagawa off but Hamasagawa is having none of it.
Hamasagawa is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Hamasagawa in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Nazayami is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
