And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faro looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

The Talent tries to close the distance and clinch but Faro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Faro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as The Talent walks away with a smile on his face. Faro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The Talent throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Faro was covering up waiting for the punch and The Talent finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The Talent is pushing down on Faro's leg trying to pass to half guard. Faro is fighting to maintain full guard but The Talent has managed to sneak the leg through.
The Talent seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Faro won't allow The Talent to pass to mount.

The Talent seems to be looking for submissions.

The Talent seems to be working for a kimura but Faro defends the submission attempt.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


No luck with that takedown attempt from The Talent.
The Talent throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Faro's waist but Faro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The Talent off to one side.
Faro is looking to clinch but The Talent is avoiding it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Faro lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The Talent working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Faro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Faro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and The Talent counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by The Talent.

The Talent got a little sloppy there for a moment and Faro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, The Talent has managed to get both his arms back between Faro's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The Talent is looking for a kimura but Faro is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for The Talent to get the leverage.
The Talent is looking to advance position but Faro won't allow it.
The Talent passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Faro!
Faro is bucking up trying to escape but The Talent cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The Talent moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Faro has worked his arm free - good work by Faro!

Jay Dee The Talent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Faro lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Faro gets a takedown into half guard.
The Talent is looking to escape.
Faro seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The Talent is looking to improve his position.
Faro missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The Talent wants to control but Faro is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The Talent feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
