Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnt Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Cordova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freddy Cordova will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnt Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Smith crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cordova - the referee stops the clock and Smith gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cordova. Smith manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Cordova lands a nice shot that snaps Smith's head back.
Smith walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Smith tries to pull guard but Cordova holds him up against the cage and eventually Smith drops back down to his feet.

Smith had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cordova defends it easily.
Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cordova gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
