The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFit throws a right hand that Ducati ducks under and follows up with a left that Ducati also avoids with ease.
Ducati misses with a body shot.
Ducati stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ducati wants it to stay on the feet.
McFit shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ducati as he jumps to the side.
McFit shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Francois Ducati has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fit McFit.
No joy there for McFit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McFit tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ducati swivels and escapes.
McFit shoots in looking for a takedown. Ducati tries to sprawl out of it but McFit keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ducati manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McFit misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McFit shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ducati's guard.

Ducati is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McFit accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Fit McFit.
McFit shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ducati but Ducati pushes him off and we're back to square one.

McFit looks gassed!

Ducati throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
McFit is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ducati is controlling him well.
McFit gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Ducati has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McFit's face.
