Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Motta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rex KwonDo!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Motta misses its intended target.
Motta looks to land a combination but KwonDo avoids it well.
Motta missing with a left hand there. KwonDo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
KwonDo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Roger Motta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Motta throws a combination but it was largely blocked by KwonDo.

Motta gets caught flat footed, as KwonDo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Motta escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. KwonDo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Motta has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but KwonDo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

KwonDo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Motta works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

KwonDo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
KwonDo wants to control from the top but Motta keeps moving.
KwonDo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Motta's guard.

KwonDo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
KwonDo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Motta does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
