Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mabishiro Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mabishiro Sakamoto has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nicholas Lee's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nicholas Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mabishiro Sakamoto! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Lee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sakamoto sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat. Lee throws a right and a left that both miss. Sakamoto throws a head kick but Lee moves out of range.
Lee displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Lee throws a series of punches but Sakamoto moves out of range. Sakamoto drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Some wild striking there from Lee.
Sakamoto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Lee controls Sakamoto momentarily but Sakamoto frees himself. Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lee trying to keep a closed guard but Sakamoto is proving a slippery customer.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Lee is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sakamoto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lee controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sakamoto sitting in guard here, content to control. Lee controls Sakamoto momentarily but Sakamoto frees himself. Sakamoto landing some decent shots from guard. Sakamoto trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lee wants to sweep here but Sakamoto controlling him for the moment. Lee controls Sakamoto momentarily but Sakamoto frees himself. Sakamoto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Lee is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lee manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Sakamoto tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lee wants to take Sakamoto's back but he can't do it this time. Sakamoto wants to control but Lee is having none of it. Sakamoto bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Lee looking for a sweep. Not yet Lee, not yet. Sakamoto postures up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nicholas Lee. Lee looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sakamoto is fending him off so far but Lee persists. Nope, Sakamoto circles away and we're back to standing. Lee tries to bum rush Sakamoto with a series of wild strikes but Sakamoto uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sakamoto clinches up against the cage. Lee is pushing Sakamoto up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Lee connects with a knee to the head.
Lee is breathing heavily. Sakamoto goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lee prevents it.
Lee working some nice short punches in the clinch. Lee lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lee lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Lee is trying to stall.
Sakamoto tries for a takedown. No joy.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mabishiro Sakamoto will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Sakamoto shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Sakamoto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sakamoto avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lee doesn't manage to clinch there - Sakamoto circles away.

Sakamoto shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lee stalks Sakamoto and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sakamoto's face. Sakamoto staggers backwards, shaken. Sakamoto has a takedown stuffed. Nicholas Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mabishiro Sakamoto. Lee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sakamoto is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Lee closes the distance and lands a one-two. Lee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sakamoto swivels and escapes. A left and a right from Lee both land. Nice combination.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Lee wants to pass the guard but Sakamoto is defending well. Sakamoto throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Lee is trying to control the action in half guard but Sakamoto is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lee wants to free his trapped foot but Sakamoto is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sakamoto is not content to let Lee control the position. Lee passes to full mount!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee content just to control the position here. Lee looking to control but Sakamoto is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lee controlling the position easily from mount. Lee tries to control but Sakamoto wriggling away.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Lee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sakamoto is looking to escape. Sakamoto can't escape the position.
Lee trying to control but Sakamoto is having none of it. Lee takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
 The referee stands the fighters back up. Nicholas Lee just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Lee's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Lee duly obliges. Lee slaps away a takedown attempt from Sakamoto, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lee lands with an uppercut that bounces Sakamoto off the cage and back into rage. Sakamoto is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lee. Lee throws a right hand that Sakamoto ducks under and follows up with a left that Sakamoto also avoids with ease. A head kick misses from Lee. Lee moves in looking to clinch but Sakamoto pushes him off. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lee lands with a kick to the temple. Sakamoto shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Sakamoto dodges the punch combination from Lee.
Sakamoto misses with a low kick as Lee jumps back. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Nicholas Lee dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Sakamoto has his takedown stuffed and Lee counters with a series of strikes. Sakamoto will be more careful next time no doubt. Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Sakamoto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lee misses with a two punch combination.

Sakamoto with a poor takedown and Lee counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Lee lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lee. Sakamoto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lee lands a nice looking body shot.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Sakamoto tries to advance to mount but Lee denies him. Lee is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sakamoto's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Lee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sakamoto is working away from the top position though. Lee works his way to full guard. Good work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lee is on top in guard.

Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sakamoto circles away quickly and effectively. Lee throws a series of strikes that have Sakamoto backpedaling.
Nice sprawl there from Sakamoto as Lee shoots in. Sakamoto takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Lee looks to land a combination but Sakamoto avoids it well. Lee lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sakamoto backs up against the cage.
Lee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sakamoto moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Sakamoto on that attempt. Nicholas Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mabishiro Sakamoto. Lee lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Sakamoto on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Sakamoto has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Lee stuffs the takedown attempt from Sakamoto. Sakamoto gets slowly back to his feet. Lee lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Lee works over Sakamoto's head and body with a nice combination.
And that's the end of the fight! Nicholas Lee showed his dominance in that final round. I think Lee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
