The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovalenko takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kalashnikov plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kalashnikov tries a head kick but it misses.
Kalashnikov takes one to the chin there.

It looks like Andrei Kalashnikov has been cut.
Kovalenko misses with a double jab.
Kalashnikov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kovalenko scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kalashnikov moves into the clinch.
Kovalenko is trying to force a seperation but Kalashnikov has the dominant position.
Kovalenko wants to get back to striking at distance but Kalashnikov won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Kovalenko's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Kalashnikov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kovalenko cracks Kalashnikov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kalashnikov wants to clinch up but Kovalenko keeps it at a distance.
Kovalenko fails to land with a series of punches.
Kovalenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kalashnikov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kovalenko throws a right and a left that Kalashnikov avoids nicely.
Kovalenko lands a hook that stumbles Kalashnikov back into the cage. Kovalenko follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Kalashnikov to the canvas! Kovalenko pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Kalashnikov has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
