PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Clown Loach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dilbert Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavez has chosen When Worlds Colide by Powerman 5000 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clown Loach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dilbert Chavez!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Chavez.
Chavez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Loach darts in and clinches Chavez up against the cage.
Chavez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Loach lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Loach is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Chavez can't fight it off and eventually Loach manages to take the fight to the floor. Chavez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Loach moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Chavez has worked his arm free - good work by Chavez!

That was a close round but I would say that Clown Loach will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Clown Loach is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Chavez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Loach can pounce on him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
