Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jan Mcdougall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and fernz selgas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, fernz selgas!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from selgas is defended easily by Mcdougall.

selgas closes the distance and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on selgas's face as he tries to break the clinch.

selgas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mcdougall misses with a takedown

and selgas counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mcdougall's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
selgas looking to sit in guard and control but Mcdougall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
selgas wants to sweep here but Mcdougall controlling him for the moment.

selgas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcdougall is aware though and is defending well.

Mcdougall is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Mcdougall gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Mcdougall gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Mcdougall apologises and we restart here on the feet.

selgas goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mcdougall has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for selgas but great work by Mcdougall.
