The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nova is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Steele takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Nova misses with a body shot.
Nova attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Steele defending well as Nova loads up on a big left hand.
Viktor Nova seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nova lands with an overhand left.
Steele fails to land with a series of punches.
Nova lands a nice shot that snaps Steele's head back.
Nova moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Steele is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nova.

Nova shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Nova tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Steele is able to avoid easily.

It looks like George Steele has been cut.

enabling Steele to counter with a crisp jab.

Steele bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Nova takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Steele throws a shot from downtown. Nova moves away and avoids it.

Steele blocks the body kick.
Nova clobbers Steele with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nova. Steele does a little dance to reset his feet.
Viktor Nova is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nova tried to score with a low kick but Steele checks it.

Nova is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Steele doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Nova crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Nova's bad books for that mishap!
