Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Jayd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Mutt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charlie Jayd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Mutt! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jayd ducks under a wild hook from Mutt. A punch combination from Jayd misses. Jayd pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jayd rushes Mutt and presses him up against the cage. Jayd escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch combination from Mutt misses. Mutt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jayd checks the leg kick. A slow jab from Mutt misses its intended target. Mutt thuds his right hand into Jayd's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Charlie Jayd has been cut. Mutt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mutt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jayd tries to bum rush Mutt with a series of wild strikes but Mutt uses good footwork to avoid the assault. No joy there for Jayd, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mutt takes a swing at Jayd's ribcage but misses. Mutt misses with a series of wild punches.
Mutt throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jayd sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jayd throws a head kick that misses and Mutt counters with a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mutt misses with a combination
and Jayd counters with a stiff right hand. Mutt cracks Jayd with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Mutt throws a head kick that misses. Jayd shoots for a double leg takedown but Mutt sprawls well. He's pushed Jayd's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A punch lands to the side of Jayd 's head but he takes it in his stride. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jayd, right into the meat.
Mutt looks gassed! Jayd throws a combination that misses and Mutt counters with a good low kick that Jayd was not able to check. Good leg kick by Jayd there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice leg kick lands there from Jayd. Jayd misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mutt misses with a leg kick and Jayd counters with a flying knee. Nice. Mutt takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jayd cracks Mutt with a big right hand and Mutt goes down!
Mutt is rocked! Jayd thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jayd distracts Mutt with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mutt keeping moving, preventing Jayd from controlling successfully. Jayd is looking to work some ground and pound but Mutt has wrist control. Jayd lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jayd prevents Mutt from getting back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mutt can do anything to dispel that myth. Jayd trying to control the position from guard on top but Mutt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jayd throwing strikes but missing. Jayd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jayd postures up and lands a big shot to Mutt's brow. Jayd lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jayd is working Mutt over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jayd passes Mutt's left leg - he's now in half guard. Mutt is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jayd is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jayd cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jayd landing strikes, looking to finish! Mutt is in a horrible position here. Jayd smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Jayd lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Mutt is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jayd lands a big shot there that rocks Mutt but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Mutt is looking to get to half guard. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jayd cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jayd breaks from Mutt's wrist control and lands an elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A nice elbow there by Jayd. Mutt is still in real trouble! Can Jayd finish him? Jayd postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Mutt out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Jayd goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Charlie Jayd!
