Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Akagi tries to close the distance and clinch up but I swats him away and circles back towards the center.

I shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. I showed some decent athleticism there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Akagi tries to kick I off but I keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
I looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Akagi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

I takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

I throws a strike but Akagi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
DATU I overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

I can't keep his opponent in guard - Akagi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Well I has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
