Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cassiano Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Machado shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Machado was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Machado throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Machado throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Silva because Machado loaded up on that one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Machado working for a submission but Silva is keeping him at bay.

Machado with shots to the head and body - Silva looks very uncomfortable down there.

Silva takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machado misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Machado has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Machado tries to control but Silva wriggling away.
Machado is really struggling to control Silva but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Machado tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Machado could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Machado seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Machado looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Machado persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.

Silva scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Machado. Machado gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Machado has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Silva finds it's way round the side to connect with Machado's head.

Silva lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Silva connects with a nice looking jab.
Machado closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Machado pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Silva darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Machado takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Machado misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Machado shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Machado tries for a kimura but Silva is defending well.
Machado is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Silva wants to get back to his feet but Machado drags him back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Machado's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Machado is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva dips to his left and cracks Machado with an uppercut!
Silva misses with the combination.
Cassiano Machado is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Machado throws a half hearted mid kick.
Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Machado to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Silva wants to get back to his feet but Machado is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Machado stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Machado forces his way into half guard.
Machado wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.

Silva pushes Machado off looking to stand but Machado dives back in and keeps control.
Machado keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Silva avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Machado.
Machado looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Silva pushes Machado off but Machado dives into side control.
Machado has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Machado looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Machado shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Machado's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Silva scores with a one two! Machado had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Machado, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
