Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between brandon vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and john cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
cena tries to clinch but vera is having none of it.
vera displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from cena.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from cena is defended easily by vera.
cena shoots in for a double leg but vera sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
brandon vera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of john cena.
vera stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and vera wants it to stay on the feet.

vera gets the takedown into side control.
cena prevents vera from moving into mount.
cena sneaks back into half guard.
vera keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
cena is trying to stand.

vera is sneakily working for an arm triangle but cena sees it coming and defends easily.

cena is positioning himself well to prevent vera advancing to mount.
vera is looking to take a break and control but cena is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
vera thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
vera could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
cena is looking for a sweep. vera is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
vera seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but cena does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

vera shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
cena is looking to improve his position but vera isn't that keen on the idea.
cena tries to lock up and control but vera gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
cena looks gassed!

vera with the ground and pound from mount.
vera controlling the pace for now.
vera landing punches.
cena wants to hold on but vera pushes him away.
cena keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
cena tries to lock up and control but vera gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
cena in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

cena is wriggling around trying to escape.
cena wants to control but vera is having none of it.
vera wants to control the pace but cena is squirming around nicely.
vera connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
cena reaches up to try and control the position but vera seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! cena rolls and tries to escape and now vera has his back!
vera throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting cena!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
vera struggling to keep hold of the position.
cena is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

vera has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
vera doesn't have the hooks in and cena manages to turn into his guard.
vera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
cena controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
cena slips nicely into half guard.
cena works his way into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

brandon vera dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

cena doesn't succeed with the takedown

and vera counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for cena!
cena is trying desperately to improve position.
vera working the ground and pound effectively.

vera is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, cena has managed to escape the submission attempt.
cena sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

cena kicks vera off and gets back to his feet.

and vera counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by vera.

vera breaks the clinch.
brandon vera is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

vera closes the distance and pushes cena back into the cage.
cena tries for a takedown but vera manages to get underhooks.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
cena is trying to force a seperation but vera has the dominant position.

vera breaks from the clinch.
cena throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
cena clinches but vera breaks the clinch

so vera counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
cena wants to sweep here but vera controlling him for the moment.

cena is adopting a defensive guard.
vera tries to stand but cena is controlling from the bottom.
cena manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

cena gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

cena has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think vera should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, cena has tightened it up now! vera should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
